Twisted Strings formed in 2014 after the death of close friend and drummer Bob Uryniak. The original lineup consisted of Jim Cochenhour, Brian Rizzo (Rizzy), and Daniel Dent (all of whom were in previous projects with Uryniak). With the addition of vocalist/guitarist Whitney Bandy, the quartet worked together for two years before disbanding to pursure other ventures in 2016.
Daniel continued the acoustic endeavor by teaming up with vocalist Jessica Dent and bassist Sam Curtis that same year. Twisted Strings has always enjoyed giving their crowd whiplash by drastically switching between genres throughout a performance. However, it's no secret that their influences hail from 90's grunge and alternative rock, which you can hear in their original work.
There are less "strings" in the group's current evolution, but they are still plenty twisted. Maximizing what can be done with minimal instruments, Twisted Strings continues to hone their craft and move forward into 2020 and beyond.
